Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Funding

The Pupil Premium Grant is funding which comes direct from the Government and is designed to help disadvantaged children to do well at school.

The funding is allocated to schools for children from Reception to Year 11 who have registered for Free School Meals (FSM) in the past six years, or are in care (LAC), adopted or have had parents in the armed forces within the past 5 years.

"Schools will have the freedom to spend the premium, which is additional to the underlying schools budget, in a way they think will best support and raising the attainment for the most vulnerable pupils". - DFE Website.

Our duty, as a team, is to work tirelessly to accelerate the progress within reading, writing and maths for these children. For this reason, the vast majority of our Pupil Premium Grant spend is targeted at supporting children in their academic learning to ensure they fulfil their potential. We have carefully assessed children to identify individually and more global gaps in knowledge and understanding and ensured the PPG spend is used to rapidly close these gaps.

Please see our current document below for a more details breakdown of our spending.
